MESSENGER Scholarship

The MESSENGER Scholarship was created to expand interest in the MESSENGER mission and to support continuing education.

Special thanks to AIAA for helping this year's scholarship fund.

Eligibility Criteria
• Accuracy of content, and originality
• Be a United States citizen or a legal resident
• Have completed the requirements for high-school graduation in the twelve months preceding July 31st of the year of application

Selection
A committee, made up of members of the MESSENGER team, will select recipients. The committee will select recipients based on:
• Student essay
• GPA

Application Procedures
• Complete an application
• Provide a copy of your high school grade transcript

Essay
To be considered for an award, your application must be supported by a short typed essay (less than 100 words) telling us "What will we learn from MESSENGER?"

Award
Three MESSENGER Scholarships will be awarded.

The first-place prize consists of a $1000 scholarship toward college.

The second-place prize consists of a $500 scholarship toward college.

The third-place prize consists of a $200 scholarship toward college.

Note: the evaluation committee reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if an insufficient number of quality essays are received.
