Last week was the 46th annual Lunar and Planetary Science Conference
in Houston, Texas, where MESSENGER science team members shared their latest work. Some of the highlights were also presented in a press briefing
, which included an update on MESSENGER's final weeks in orbit before its impact into the surface next month and new high-resolution observations enabled by the lower and lower altitudes the spacecraft is experiencing as it inevitably drifts toward that impact. Watch a video of the briefing here
